St John thw Apostle Church Conference HOW WE SPENT YOUR DONATIONS : Our SVDP conference was able to help various families in the Mid-Cities area,(North Richland Hills, Keller, Haltom, Watauga, Hurst and Richland Hills) because of your generous donations. Typically our members make a home visit to a family in trouble , assess the need of the family and be ready to provide emergency financial assistance. We will distribute our donations down to a minimal amount to keep the account open. We do not hold money in "reserve".
ASSISTANCE: If you need assistance with life’s necessities such as utility bills, rent, food, gasoline or medications, etc. please call our Help Line at (817)595-6535 When calling please leave your name, address and the kind of help you need. Your call will be returned as soon possible to try to assess your needs and establish a meeting with you. We also give our clients “Needing Help Referral List” showing other charitable organizations that can provide them with a wide range of services.
DONATIONS : Your donations keep us going to help those in need. You can help by making a check addressed to "St Vincent de Paul Society - STJA Conference " and mail it C/O the above address, place it in the church collection box, or drop it in the "Poor Box" located inside the church. Our main source of funding’s are from two (2) Poor Boxes located at the entrance of St. John the Apostle Church and the St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, Keller TX. We also do fundraising at a local restaurant, Annual Friends of the Poor Walk and sometimes we receive donations from other nonprofit organizations.
On behalf of the needy in the area, we thank you for your generosity. We have 13 active members coming from different parishes in our conference. The need is great and and our funding is minimal, sometimes we can't help them financially but we do give them hope just by LISTENING and PRAYING with the family. We also give our clients our “Needing Help Referral List” showing other charitable organizations that can provide them with a wide range of services.
